All About Edomura,Japan
Location
Japan is one of the best travel destination.There are various places to explore the country's culture.One such place to explore the old Japanese culture is Edomura. Edomura is a wonderland depicting the traditional Edoperiod of Japan. It is located in Nikko,Tochigi Prefecture. Edoperiod is said to be from 1603-1867.So Edomura shows the life and culture of people during Edoperiod. Here I am going to share my experience about visiting Edomura.
So Edo wonderland is surrounded by hills. Nikko and its neighbouring prefectures are located around the hill.
Highlights
Once we get down from the train station,there will be a tourist information center in the Nikko station itself.There we can get the map of Nikko and its surrounding sightseeing and plan accordingly.For heading to Edomura,catch the Edomura bus from the station directly to the destination.There is a ticket counter,get the ticket and the employees working in Edomura too will be dressed in the same culture.So it will be fun and entertaining.
After getting the tickets,enter to the Edoperiod by getting dressed up like Town's man,Town's woman,Samurai,Ninja and also like King and queen.Yes,there is a place where they rent these dresses and you can choose the category as you wish.Dress-up like Edoperiod characters and walk through the Edo wonderland.The kids dressed-up like Ninja enjoys the activity provided by them.Yes,there are so many activities like bow and arrow,fighting techniques are taught.Also there is place for adults to experience Ninja techniques.There is court room,jail which shows how the Edoperiod would be.There are also many shows running in the theater located in Edomura and the shows are basically about the Japanese drama,art and culture.There is also an old theatre which shows how the musical instruments old Japanese used.Also there is a museum,which shows many weapons used during the olden days.
The above image shows how the fire fighters will work immediately after they knows the message of fire.So Edomura is a must to visit to know the art and culture of the olden Japanese culture.
